NLNL Canberra will be back in 2015 with some changes.
We are moving to Wednesday nights, starting from 4 February, with dancing from 7:30 to 9pm (so best to arrive a little before 7:30pm). We’re also moving to a new venue: St John’s Anglican Church hall in Reid, corner of Constitution Ave and Anzac Park West. This is a much bigger hall than the current venue, so with any luck, we won’t EVER have to turn another person away (hooray!). There is lots of free onsite parking available, and admission still just $5 on the door. We are looking forward to seeing you on the 4th of Feb!

Argh, the old venue was so easy to get to by bike and this one will be nearly impossible - that part of Reid is all huge roads with no bike paths or lanes. I do get that there was a need for a bigger venue, but there doesn't appear to be a way to reach this one safely if you're on two wheels instead of four. Will look into buses. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteHello! The hall can also be reached from Amaroo St in Reid, a quieter road than Constitution Ave. We've ridden down to check out the venue many times and have felt safe on the roads. However, if your preference is to take the bus, it's walking distance from the Civic interchange. See you for a boogie soon.
